Cross-namespace references to the GitOps Toolkit objects should be subject to ACLs defined by the owner of a particular object.

Background:

Types subject to ACLs:

  • GitRepository
  • Bucket
  • HelmRepository
  • ImageRepository
  • Provider

Controllers that perform ACL assertions:

  • kustomize-controller
  • helm-controller
  • image-automation-controller
  • image-reflector-controller
  • notification-controller
