indimail mta.7
indimail-mta - overview of indimail-mta documentation
indimail-mta is a rewrite of qmail which is a secure, reliable, efficient, simple message transfer agent.
Users who want to control incoming messages should read dot-qmail(5). Available commands for the .qmail file include qbiff(1), qreceipt(1), forward(1), rrforward(1), bouncesaying(1), and condredirect(1). Other helpful commands include qmaildirmake(1), maildir2mbox(1), and qmaildirwatch(1).
System administrators who want to control the entire indimail-mta system should start with svscan(8), supervise(8), indimail-control(5), indimail-env(5), indimail-services(7) and qmail-start(8) / slowq-start(8) (qmail-start also has documentation on qscheduler(8)). There is a web administration tool iwebadmin(1) to carry out basic admin activities like user addition, deletion, modification, basic mailing list adminisration, setting forwards and autoresponders.
There are four queue-monitoring tools: qmail-qread(8), qmonitor(8), qtop(8), and qmail-tcpto(8). Incoming SMTP connections are handled by qmail-smtpd(8) running under tcpserver(1). rblsmtpd(1) can be used to block mail from RBL-listed sites.
qmail offers two command-line message-sending interfaces: qmail-inject(8) and mailsubj(1). For background information on Internet mail messages, see addresses(5), envelopes(5), qmail-header(5), and forgeries(7).
Miscellaneous documentation includes qmail-limits(7) and qmail-pop3d(8).
This documentation describes version 3.0.4 of indimail-mta.
