DPN ontology description

The DPN ontology aims to define a minimal set of classes required to describe a data provider node, its services/service interfaces and datasets.

The main idea of the DPN ontology: Node, ServiceInterface, Service, Dataset.

There is a DPN Services module (DPNS) that defines a set of other classes which aims to capture well-known web services and products, eg. Geoserver, THREDDS, WMS, WFS, etc.

Dataset descriptions in the vanilla DPN-O is currently just a stub allowing minimal description of a dataset. There is a DPN-O: DS Module - Semantic descriptions of datasets which allows for a dataset to be modelled in a particular way, but this may vary depending on use cases and community ideas about datasets
