Subsets

What are subsets?

ENVO is quite a large ontology, and many users don't want or need to work with the whole thing. We thus create 'subsets' or extracts of the ontology which contain only those terms that a user group asks for. We can export these subsets in OWL, but exporting in other formats (e.g. CSV, OBO, GraphML) is possible on request.

You can find our current, released subsets in OWL format here. To view a simple TSV with the terms associated to their subsets and PURLs, pleased see this report

Can I request a subset for my project?

Yes! We'd be happy to engineer an export for your purposes. Please create an issue on our tracker (you'll need a GitHub account) and we'll prepare the file for you. You can also tweet your request to us @envoTweets or e-mail our publicly archived mailing list.
