Hi @fref , tests confirmed that this problem was eliminated in v2.0.1. What font version you using? Please confirm that you deleted all old files from OS. Installing on top can cause problems.

I downloaded 2.001 days ago.
I'll try uninstalling the old fonts and reinstalling to be sure.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the font indeed solved the issue, thank you.

I'm seeing this issue with v2.002 and OneNote version 2002, Windows 10 64.
I uninstalled the fonts, logged out & re-installed. Does not solve the extra line-spacing.

On an older version of OneNote - no issues.

@philippnurullin, I don't see a tag for v2.0.1. Do you mean the fonts on the HEAD of the master branch?

This re-started happening to me too, I switched to Consolas in OneNote, in the end.

I meant https://github.com/JetBrains/JetBrainsMono/releases/tag/v2.001 sorry for confusion.

In the next release the actual files will be build from source by the script provided by Google Fonts engineer @RosaWagner so it may have good impact on this issue. If not we will continue to investigate this problem.

For now i suggest revert to the working version 2.001 or preferred typeface for maximum comfort.

Hi @philippnurullin we should look at the vertical metrics and the « use typo metrics » parameter for this issue

@RosaWagner Use typo metrics was used from v2.x. The ghost hints by TTFzoneswas added to match the winAscender & winDescender too.

I tried uninstall, install, try OneNote.

All of these versions show the extra line spacing for jetbrains-mono-regular.ttf

  • 1.006
  • 2.001
  • 2.002
  • 2.1 from master, commit:0cddca5

Previously using 2.001 with OneNote - no issues.
Someone upgraded the app to OneNote for Office 365 v16.0.12527.20880 64bit - i see the extra line spacing.

Still see the extra line spacing vs. other fonts. 👎

@fref - can you give it a try too?

Using font version 2.200; ttfautohint (v1.8.3).
Inside the release zip file.

Is anyone still tracking this issue?
In my case, "huge interline" is gone.
But instead, upper half of all characters are missing.

I'm not sure if this is a new issue.

Hi @alan-gu Thanks for the report. We will try to reproduce this problem.
What version of JB Mono you using?
Was it patched with something? Nerd font maybe?

I searched in my download history and found the file I downloaded was JetBrainsMono-2.242.zip. I suppose the version is 2.242.
I don't think have applied any patch. I did not know that fonts could be patched.
